Synopsis:	Remy, barely alive after repeated assassination attempts, is tied
with barbed wire to crossed timbers, bleeding energy from cards in both hands,
while an angel descends upon him.
Courier checks in with the New Son, who arranged the whole Assasination Game
to make Remy force his powers to their peak.
Warren attacks Remy, angry about the Morlock Massacre. They struggle in
mid-air, then Warren drops him, then swoops him up again when he survives the
fall. Denti and police squad cars follow, amazed that X-Men would fight each
other, and Remy uses a grappling hook to latch onto a news helicopter. Remy is
finally worn out and slips, but Kurt bamfs in and catches him. Warren wonıt
explain his actions and flies away; Kitty and Piotr take Remy aboard the
Blackbird.
The New Son berates Warren for fighting in public, since he has kept himself
secret in his crystal hideaway.
Back in Westchester, Kitty runs tests on Remy and says his power is erratic.
Remy comes clean, explaining the New Son rescued him in Antarctica (after being
stranded there in Uncanny X-Men 350) and asked him to work with him to save the
world. From whom? Remy.
Quiet Bill is still opening portals to other universes for the New Son, so he
can see if any version of Remy survived. Bill explains that the Crystal Cathedral
exists between moments in time.
Courier confronts Warren, saying he purposely drew the X-Menıs attention so
he wouldnıt be able to kill Remy. Warren is pretty sure Courier secretly alerted
the Thieves Guild to the Assasination Game, knowing they would help Remy defeat
the other assassins.
Kitty is unable to find Warrenıs bio-signature anywhere on Earth. Then Bill
opens a portal, and the X-Men enter. They arrive in the Crystal Cathedral and are
attacked by the New Sonıs technicians, who turn out to be empty containment
suits. Remy sends the X-Men and Bill to find Huey, while he goes to face the New
Son. He links up with Warren, who has been his mole the whole time.
A rift opens, and the New Son arrives with Courier, held in bands of
crackling energy for his betrayal; he attacks the two X-Men as well. Remy
recognizes the energy signature and uses his bio-charge to cancel out the New
Sonıs, who reveals himself to be Remy from an alternate reality, older and more
experienced.
The colliding bio-charges start to collapse the Crystal Cathedral, and one of
Billıs portals falls onto the New Son, taking him away. Courier finds another,
and he/she, Remy, and Warren get back to earth, to the wastelands of Siberia,
with more questions than answers. They activate a homing beacon for the X-Men,
and Remy writes a warning in the ground: Chateau New Son - Abandon all hope ye
who enter.

Guest Stars:	Rogue, Storm, Iceman, Beast, Angel, Phoenix, Cable (all in
visions)

Evolutionary, the Crew ASKEW, Dr. Doom, Sabretooth, Joanna Cargill, Mr. Sinister,

	Editor-in-Chief: Bob Harras
Synopsis:	Remy kisses and cavorts with Rogue on a beach, then she turns into
Bella Donna, who tries to drown him. He uses his enhanced and restored powers to
turn the water in his throat to oxygen. The New Son appears, having turned out to
be Remy himself, or a clone, alternate universe version, or twin brother, and
blasts with much more power than Remy.
He wakes; it was a nightmare, and Fontanelle says it a warning from his
subconscious mind. She reveals her real name and says she was an obscure
therapist with a taste for S&M, whom Courier hired to profile Remy. She started
with the dreams of the X-Men and learned they stranded him in the Antarctic
(Uncanny X-Men 350), so the New Son sent a rescue party, which is why Remy owed
him. He said he planned to create a new, perfect world and then move everyone to
it, and Remy agreed to help. He rescued Courier from the High Evolutionary
(Wizard #0 Special), who had stolen plans for terraforming equipment, then stole
a blueprint for an alien ship, for transportation (iss. 1), then stole Moiraıs
files on mutants (iss. 2), to be able to restrict resistance, then tried to help
Courier recruit the Crew ASKEW (iss. 3). But the New Sonıs plan went hincky,
because Dr. Doom shifted an alternate earth (Heroes Reborn) into the spot the New
Son had wanted to use. So he tried to use Quiet Bill to find a vacancy in an
alternate universe.
Fontanelle says his friends and foes all respect him but see his internal
conflicts. She recounts his twisted history with the Guilds and reveals that
Amanda Mueller (iss. 13), whom he saved from Sinister in 1891, was her mother,
but she doesnıt know what happened to her. Since Mueller was an adult in 1891 and
Fontanelle was born in the 1950s, Mueller must age very slowly.
The New Son grew frantic and threatened to kill Remy (iss. 15). She started
seeding the minds she investigated, to help save him, so the New Son fired her.
The X-Men confronted the New Son and found out he looks like Remy (2000
Ann.), but they still donıt know his origin or agenda, or how this fits into the
Guilds and the Old Kingdom, or why the New Son thinks Remy will destroy the
world. Fontanelle says they need answers fast, before the New Son returns, and
they should start by investigating their mutual past.
Remy goes to Washington, DC, and asks Courier to impersonate Xavier and
infiltrate Kellyıs Commission on Superhuman Activities to get information about
the New Son.

have been erased.
The unified Guilds are headquartered at Bella Donnaıs ancestral mansion.
Ministers Tome and Hoard oversee the Unveiling ceremony to open The Casket of All
Tomorrows, which turns out to be empty.
Courier impersonates Xavier and meets with Denti in the Pentagon to get
access to Fred Duncanıs files on Black Womb. Turns out Amanda Mueller lived at
least until World War II and headed a genetics research program by that name.
Mystique, herself impersonating a staffer, realizes Courierıs an imposter, when
he, thinking himself unobserved, stands up to get a drink.
Bella Donna is mad that the casket was empty, since it was supposed to tell
the unified Guilds how to resurrect the Old Kingdom. Tante Mattie says they still
have to try, and Remy is the prophesied savior.
	A fireball explodes in Siberia.
Lapin insults Gris Gris, who then starts choking him, so Remy kinetically
charges off his dreadlocks.
Fontanelle calls Remy, worried because Courier didnıt return. Theoren hacks
into the Pentagon computers to create a fake meeting, and Remy as Robert Lord
walks in, finds Courier, and gets cornered by Mystique. He uses his new power to
burn her hand, making her drop her gun, and she realizes she is not up on recent
events. He wants to just walk away, but she pulls knives, and he charges her
body, forcing her to yield before she dissolves into a blue puddle.
Remy summons Theoren and Gris Gris, accusing them of erasing his hospital
records and destroying the contents of the casket. They confess, but say Jean Luc
LeBeau ordered them.

chases him, because of his sense of responsibility and his desire to avoid Bella
Donna.
At the Boudreaux mansion, she is holding a vote of confidence on Remyıs
leadership, which Theoren and Gris-Gris have called, because of the empty casket
of All Tomorrows. She advises the Guild to give him more time to prove himself.
Remy chases Rax into the Metairie Cemetery, trying to forget how his father

that the Neo have been watching, and then the Guild, who did have a vote: Remy
won 7 to 6.

Synopsis:	Note: this is part of the Maximum Security crossover.
Earth has been made an interstellar prison, and a spore from the living
planet Ego has sprouted. The Unified Guild fights it on the streets of New
Orleans. Remy charges an entire block full of Ego tentacles, which explode into
goop. Bella Donna protests that the Guild must remain secret and shouldnıt become
a superhero team. Hethısa, an alien from the planet Culth, approaches and offers
to help.
In Washington, Courier and Fontanelle compare their findings on Black Womb
and discuss options. They agree they need to find either the Black Womb or the
New Son to learn more.
Hethısa says he was a security guard, convicted of dereliction of duty during
a prison riot. The X-Cutioner armor was taken from his penitentiary, and he can
trace it. He wants to use its components to get back home, and Remy can use its
database to find out how to stop Egoıs growth.
Hethısa takes Remyıs team to a nuclear missile silo in Oklahoma. They break
in, find the armor, and wonder about the governmentıs involvement. Hethısa hands
Remy the database and uses the armor to teleport away. Remy traces him using the
helmet and realizes he went back in time to change his past.
Remy follows him, into the middle of the prison riot. He sees Hethısa fail to
force his younger self back to the fight, then dematerializes his weapon before
he can kill his younger self. Young Hethısa flees. Remy says there has to be a
better way than suicide, and Hethısa decides to his younger selfıs place agianst
the riot. Remy uses the armor to return home.
Remy sends Emil to the X-Men with the database; Mercy says she knew Reed
Richards socially before he was Mr. Fantastic. After they leave, the New Sun,
inside, the armor, removes his helmet. He had been the X-Cutioner during the
Assassination Game and still plans to kill Remy.
The New Sun diary has notes on Remyıs life: abandoned at birth, taken in by
the Thievesı Guild, lobotomized by Sinister to get his powers under control.

Synopsis:	The New Sun used Quiet Bill to bring Remy to his earth, which is
ruined. Remy realizes he's supposed to see this and fear, so he doesn't lose
control of his powers, too. He uses his kinetic abilities to keep Bill frozen in
time, so the portal stays open. New Sun wants to talk but expects they'll fight
after Remy has heard his story.
He was born in Alpha-1, a lab like Black Womb, and trained as a weapon. As a
teenager he incinerated the lab and wandered. He joined the X-Men, but had to
leave when he killed Phoenix. Jean Luc took him in and showed him the prophecies
of the Diable Blanc, who was to be a vessel of the King of the Old Kingdom, which
preceded Atlantis and Lemuria. No one thought that ³bringing the burning light of
heaven to earth³ was literal, but when he channeled those energies, a chain
reaction of casading energy waves engulfed the world, making it a new sun and
killing everyone except the New Sun. He tried to remake time, the ultimate use of
his kinetic power, but failed, instead breaking through to other universes
(including the AOA), finding many in ruins, till he got to ours. To save it, he
plans to kill Remy, and he starts blasting.
Fontanelle has been monitoring Quiet Bill's dreams and wakes him, while
Courier reaches him physically.
Remy fights kinetic energy wave with kinetic energy wave; something clicks in
his head, and his power goes full-force, blasting New Sun all the way to Iraq.
They rush each other, colliding a mile above earth, then land in Turkey at the
site of the Old Kingdom. Remy knew how powerful he could be and had Sinister
lobotomize him (iss. 16, 23). Less powerful but more cunning, he pumps power into
the New Sun, overloading him and knocking himself unconscious. He sees Fontanelle
in a dream, then wakes to see a statue of the King fall and impale New Sun with a
spear.
Everything evaporates, and Courier and Bill pull Remy through the portal to
safety in the nick of time.
Huey is dead, and Bill is distraught. Remy's extra powers have burnt out, so
he's back to where he started. Courier asks if Remy will miss being so powerful,
but he declines. She asks what he wants, and suddendly he kisses him/her, saying
he wants to keep everyone on their toes.
