Synopsis:	Nightcrawler teaches Sam to turn in mid-air and Rahne to waltz and to
not judge by appearances. Colossus and Roberto engage in more of a fight than a

	Selene shows up in New York and plots with her follower von Roehm to take over
the Hellfire Club.

Synopsis:	Emmanuel and Selene join the Hellfire Club.
	Roberto refuses to leave Harry's or explain his sullenness. He punches
Colossus, who calls on Xavier, who calls on Sam and Dani. Roberto is transformed
into an insubstantial being of darkness, and Colossus punches him out (of town).
Both are rendered comatose and are taken back to the mansion's lab.
	Forrester ferries a wounded Magneto (see iss. 21) to his Bermuda Triangle
base.
	Dani discovers that Rahne is missing and has Sam fly her to the Hotel St. Anne
in New York. Rahne is in the penthouse, distraught and confused. Dani believes
she is sleepwalking and shapeshifting into another body.
	Sam realizes there is a link to Cloak and Dagger, since the same drug that
created them was injected into Rahne and Roberto (Marvel Team-Up Annual 6). They
are now powerless, however, and can't help.
	Roberto awakens, consumes Colossus, and attacks Xavier.

Synopsis:	Roberto, having felled Xavier, tells Moira that he hungers for light.
He begins to consume her, but Rahne arrives, transforms into a beautiful woman,
and feeds Roberto with light. He teleports them away. They have become like Cloak
and Dagger and turn to Father Bowen for aid.
	Forrester gets an apology out of Magneto, while Cloak and Dagger face life
without powers.
	Colossus, in Roberto's shadow dimension, sees himself in a desert, torn
between Kitty and Zsaji, finally losing them both. Rahne retrieves him, and she
and Roberto collapse into their original forms.
	Dani and Xavier probe Roberto's mind, unleashing the shadow, which attacks
them all until Illyana breaks Dani's link. She then teleports Rahne and Roberto
to Limbo to try to exorcise them. The process backfires, and the light and shadow
both possess Illyana. She purges herself of them, returning them to Rahne and
Roberto. Xavier lectures Illyana on responsibility as he had lectured Sam on
dress code.
	Cloak and Dagger return, willing to help.

Synopsis:	Dagger is reunited with her uncle, Father Mike. Xavier is unsure how
the Cloak and Dagger forces work, but Roberto's hunger is growing and some
solution must be found. Xavier tells Ty how he first discovered his power, by
accidentally being pulled into his step-brother's mind after his father had beat
him. His power was at first a curse, but he learned to control it. He suggests
that Ty can do the same as Cloak. He has Illyana transport them all to Limbo and
guides Rogue as she absorbs just the Dagger persona from Rahne. Roberto, however,
refuses to cooperate and attacks Illyana and Ty. Rogue absorbs the Cloak persona
from him, and the two personas conflict within her and the mind-linked Xavier as
Illyana exorcises them.
	Roberto and Randy are restored to normal, Ty and Tandy are again Cloak and
Dagger, and they return to protecting runaway children from such as Slick.
	On Muir Island, Moira monitors Legion and is forced to turn to Xavier for
help.

Synopsis:	On Muir Island, Corsi and Friedlander try to adjust to being American
Indians (see iss. 20) and are contacted telepathically by Legion. They find him
levitating, in agony, throwing objects with his mind. Then the room explodes.
	Xavier, Banshee, Dani, Rahne, Warlock and Doug arrive. Moira briefs Xavier:
the explosion only hurt psychically, and she needs his help with Gaby's autistic
son.
	Frost berates Empath over the loss of Firestar (Uncanny X-Men 193 and the
Firestar miniseries), and he tries to take control of her emotions. She
retaliates, placing inhibitors in his mind.
	Touring Ullapool, Dani, Warlock, Doug, and Rahne bump into and are yelled at
by Craig.
	Xavier probes Legion's mind on the astral plane and finds a persona trying to
communicate in Arabic and another shooting fire at him.
	In the Bermuda Triangle, Magneto has a nightmare from which Lee wakes him.
They kiss.
	Rahne and Moira are contacted telepathically in Arabic. Then the room
explodes.

Synopsis:	Moira and Rahne have been mind-wiped like Corsi and Friedlander (last
iss.). Gaby still refuses to tell Xavier that Legion is his son. Xavier and Dani
enter Legion's mind and are attacked by an image of Rahne, while Legion pulls
Gaby and Doug into the astral plane.
	Xavier cracks Legion's mental wall and learns he is his son. Gaby and Doug are
sucked down a mental abyss while Xavier saves Dani and is confronted with three
of Legion's personas. He decides to keep trying to help Legion and lets himself
fall into the abyss, finding Rahne, Moira, Dani, and Doug's astral forms in an
amalgam of Paris and Beirut.
	Legion's Jack Wayne persona explains that Jemail trapped David's core
personality under a black dome. Gaby recognizes Jemail as a terrorist who killed
David's godfather Daniel Shomron and almost killed David. Moira and Rahne meet
and ally with Cyndi, the fire-thrower.
	Moira guesses that Jemail's mind was absorbed by David during the terrorist
attack and has caused David's own mind to splinter.

Synopsis:	Xavier, Jack Wayne, Gaby, Moira, Dani, Rahne, Doug, and Cyndi scale a
mountain to reach David's core personality and are attacked by the environment,
which is under Jemail's control.
	In the Bermuda Triangle, Forrester decides it was a mistake to become involved
with Magneto since he is an enemy of all humankind.
	Xavier and Dani attack Jemail. Doug helps Xavier realize they can just walk
through the black dome. They find crystals that store David's memories. Gaby sees
the memory of Jemail's attack, sees Shomron die and David kill his attackers by
merging minds with them, accidentally absorbing Jemail. The crystals shatter, and
all are felled except for Jack Wayne, who moves to kill Jemail and is now shown
to be a villain.
	Sam and Dani defeat him and help Jemail, who had been trying to heal David's
mind. Dani forces an alliance between Jemail and Jack to restore David, and the
group returns to their bodies. David recovers except for the three dominant
splinter personalities and is introduced to his father.
	Xavier is aware that the Beyonder is approaching earth (foreshadowing Secret
Wars II), and back in New York, Empath plans to turn Sunspot and Magma over to
the Gladiators.

Synopsis:	Sam, with Illyana, blasts through Westchester County Airport,
pursuing Roberto and Amara, who were kidnapped. He fails to catch the plane, but
Illyana has S'ym interrogate one of the kidnappers. He talks.
	Illyana ports to Los Angeles, arriving a week later by accident. Sam goes to
Lila's house for help and finds Alison there, who was once a Gladiator (Beauty
and the Beast miniseries).
	Flynn heads the Gladiators; he wants Roberto and Amara to fight as
entertainment. If they won't, non-mutant children will fight instead.
	In the Bermuda Triangle, Xavier contacts Magneto, telling him to lead the
X-Men against the Beyonder (Secret Wars II).
	Lila, Sam, Alison, Illyana, and Guido go to the arena. Alison goes to the aid
of her friend Ivich, who was about to be killed by Ray.
	Roberto and Amara are in the next fight, drugged, and Alison and Sam are in
process of subduing them when Magneto bursts in with a call to arms. But Roberto
and Amara stay, because children are still hostage.

Synopsis:	Note: this is part 2 of Secret Wars II.
	The Beyonder has brought Illyana's demonic nature to the surface (see Secret
Wars II:1), and she is now Darkchilde. She teleports Kitty, Sam, Alison, and
Rachel to Limbo and attacks them, but Kitty takes the Soulsword from her and
slices her, returning her to normal, for now.
	They go back to Los Angeles to free Roberto and Amara from the Gladiators and
are observed by the Beyonder. Dazzler and Kitty infiltrate the Gladiators, and
Dazzler uses her power to stun all the combatants. She revels in the applause and
struggles with her desire to be in the spotlight. She finally writes in her diary
that fame is not worth her soul.
	Rachel telepathically reaches out to the Beyonder, who merges with her mind
momentarily, filling her with cosmic awareness, similar to the Phoenix force.
	Dazzler, possessed, attacks Kitty, who is put inside a robot that is sent into
the arena to fight Roberto and Amara.

Synopsis:	Roberto and Amara battle the robot (see last iss.), and Roberto
realizes that Kitty is inside. Kitty catches him but is able to break free of
mental control and phases out of the robot, which collapses. A very fat Shan
takes control of Alison and attacks them, and Sam blasts in with Rachel and
Illyana, who gets a demon to take Alison to Limbo. The Gladiators attack,
thinking they killed Alison, so Kitty has Illyana bring her back.
	We learn that Alexander Flynn was just a hologram, and the real head of the
Gladiators is Shan. They fight, but she threatens to force her servants to kill
themselves, so they let her escape. The police arrive and break up the party,
arresting Gen. Coy instead of Shan.
	Rachel, Kitty, and Alison return to the X-Men, but the New Mutants go off on
their own to catch Shan.

Synopsis:	Recapping issue 6, Viper blew up her estate in an attempt to kill the
original New Mutants. Shan was lost, and Xavier let her be thought dead, but she
is actually alive, fat, evil, rich, and powerful. Doug uses computer records to
track her to Madripoor, and the team flies there and attacks her villa at night.
She possesses all except Dani and Illyana, who teleport to Limbo. They return to
the villa to learn that all the Gladiators have been killed by the New Mutants,
under Shan's control.
	Illyana tries to teleport them to Shan's home in Cairo but shifts in time as
well, arriving in Pharaonic Egypt, where the sorceress Ashake befriends them.
They try again and arrive in a futuristic Egypt, where Kyri and Rolf are attacked
by Sam, Rahne, Roberto, and Amara, who have become old and punkish killers.
	Third time's the charm, and Illyana gets them to present-day Cairo, where they
find that Warlock has brought Storm.

Synopsis:	In the Pharaoh nightclub in Cairo, Shan toys with people's minds.
Storm, Illyana, and Dani attack her, and she uses the New Mutants to fight for
her. Dani pulls forth her greatest fear: Xavier, and frees Rahne.
	Later, in Storm's old neighborhood, Sam, Roberto, and Amara attack. Illyana
teleports Dani back to Shan, and she is immediately possessed. This puts Rahne
back under Shan's control, and she and S'ym believe that Illyana has switched
sides.
	Storm defeats Roberto, Sam, Amara, Dani, and Rahne, but Illyana transports her
to Shan, as well. Warlock is convinced that Illyana has switched sides and
attacks her.

Synopsis:	In Limbo, Warlock battles Illyana until she convinces him that she
has a plan to save the New Mutants.
	In Cairo, Shan plays with Storm's mind and reveals that she is actually
Farouk, Xavier's first foe. Illyana transports herself and Warlock back in time
to witness their psychic duel (as in Uncanny X-Men 117). She theorizes that
although Farouk's body died, his mind survived and has taken over Shan. Warlock
pretends to be Illyana and battles Shan while Illyana teleports the mutants to
Limbo, which frees them from mental control. They all attack Shan simultaneously,
and Farouk's mind jumps from her to Doug. Illyana detects this, and Shan defeats
Farouk on the astral plane.

Synopsis:	In Asgard, Loki observes the X-Men. He gets the Enchantress to bring
Storm to him and torment the X-Men, since he is sworn not to harm them (see X-Men
and Alpha Flight miniseries).
	In Kirinos island in Greece, Storm takes a vacation with the Mutants and tries
to comfort the hideously fat Shan (see issues 29-34). Dani attacks the Mutants
with her illusions, as an impromptu training exercise. Then the sky then turns
dark, and they are all kidnapped to Asgard. Illyana tries to teleport them away
but hits a barrier. She remains a prisoner of the Enchantress, but the team is
scattered.
	Shan is alone in a desert and lays down to die. Doug is in a Viking meadhall,
loses a duel with the serving wench, and is enslaved. Rahne is hunted by giants
and befriended by a wolf; Warlock is attacked by and consumes a dragon in Hela's
domain. Roberto is in a meadhall, arm-wrestling, brawling, and wenching. Magma is
drugged by dark elves; Sam allies with dwarfs; Dani saves Brightwind and
befriends the Valkyries.
	The Enchantress pulls out Illyana's demonic side and makes it her servant to
hunt down the others. Shan saves a young girl from a sand demon. Doug narrowly
escapes the Illyana-demon and is reunited with Warlock. Roberto is challenged by
the Warriors Three to lift Volstagg. Amara, under control of the dark elves,
attacks the dwarfs, and Sam defends them. Dani learns that the Valkyries intend
to bond her to them, and flees. Shan keeps herself and the child alive in the
desert for months. The Illyana-demon catches Roberto and makes him the
Enchantress's slave.
	Loki commissions Eitri to make a hammer for Storm. The wolf-prince proposes to
Rahne, but the Illyana-demon interrupts and enslaves her. Warlock and Doug find
Shan, now thin after her exertions, but her friend has disappeared, leaving
behind a string tied to Shan's finger, signifying the Norns.
	The Illyana-demon, Roberto, and Rahne attack Dani, Shan, Sam, and Amara, and
Warlock transforms himself into armor for Doug. Shan break Illyana's mental link
to the Enchantress. They pretend to be enslaved and then attack her. Shan and the
Illyana-demon reach Illyana, who has all this time been wounded whenever anyone
attacked the Illyana-demon. Shan returns the demon to her.
	The Enchantress attacks, Shan possesses her long enough to force her to allow
Illyana to teleport them all to Limbo. She gives the Enchantress to S'ym to play
with.
	But Storm is still Loki's prisoner, and the New Mutants plan to free her (see
Uncanny X-Men Annual 9).
